RCL : Overview
Resources for College Libraries (RCL) is the essential bibliography for four-year undergraduate institutions. It covers 70,000 works across 61 curriculum-specific subject headings, offering a recommended core collection for all academic libraries.

RCL is the successor to Books for College Libraries, third edition (BCL3), and concentrates on the traditional liberal arts and sciences college curriculum. RCL: Career Resources (CR) is the essential bibliography for two-year undergraduate institutions. It covers over 4,500 works across 56 curriculum-specific subject headings, offering a recommended core collection for all vocational, technical, and career colleges.

The successor to Vocational and Technical Resources for Community College Libraries, CR concentrates on the two-year college curriculum and highlights resources essential for students in ten major occupational disciplines, including: Allied Health, Building and Construction Trades, Business, Communication, Criminal Justice and Law, Education, Engineering and Technology, Graphic and Apparel Arts, Sciences, and Social Services.
